What type of church is Celebration?

Celebration is part of the United Methodist Church. If you would like more information on the United Methodist church, click here www.umc.org

When should I visit?

There is no time like the present! We are eager to meet you! You are welcome to join us any Sunday for worship at 9:30am or 4pm. There are also small groups offered throughout the week that you are invited to participate in. Come just as you are, we simply encourage you to come!

Where are you located?

We are located at 9501 SW Archer Rd in Gainesville, FL. We share an entrance with the YMCA. If you turn into the property and follow the signs, you will find us in no time!

What should I wear?

We believe that the most important thing you can “wear” to church is a heart ready to worship! Other than that, come in what is comfortable for you. If you love to dress up, by all means, bring out your Sunday best! If you are more into flip-flops and jeans, that works too!

What are weekend gatherings like?

We have two primary worship services on Sunday morning. Our 9:30am service is a bit more traditional. At this service we sing songs from the hymnal and follow a traditional order of worship including creeds and formal prayers.

Our 4pm service is geared towards families, although all people are welcome to attend. We intentionally design the worship experience to be engaging for children as well as adults.  During worship we engage in "family activities" that help drive home the message for the night.

Sunday School for all ages is offered at 9:30am.
Nursery care for children under 5 years of age is offered during the 9:30am service.  There are additional adult Sunday School class offered on Sundays at 10:45am.

How long are services?

Our Sunday worship services last about an hour.

Do you have programs for children and youth?

Throughout the year we hold several events geared towards children and families such as our Water Day, Fall Festival and Easter Celebration.

Any tips for first time visitors?

We are sincerely excited to meet you! In a recent church wide survey we asked folks what they think is special about Celebration. The vast majority of the answers pointed to two things: We truly love each other and we are not judgmental. We are ready to receive you and welcome you into our church family. We hope to see you soon!
